She’s Thrifty

I have exciting news to tell all of you!! This has been in the works for a while and finally happening,we have our first ever guest blogger at Studio Ten22! Starting this week Lisa of be sharing with us her tips on having fun with a sense of style while being frugal and all the time fabulous!!  Here is her first post for us:

I  love beauty products, especially cosmetics. The packaging is eye-catching and the possibilities are endless!
Through trial and error, I’ve learned which colors look best and are worth the money. I tend to stay with subtle classic colors, although I do experiment with some current trends as well. I will not, however, go back to red lipstick – too hard to find the right shade and apply it without looking like you’re a three-year old playing in your mommy’s makeup.
There are some great beauty deals this time of year. Since the holidays are fast approaching, cosmetic companies are putting together gift packages. You can save a significant amount of money on the offerings of all the major brands. Price clubs even offer some great cosmetics. I received a great set of stila products (thanks Mom!) recently from Costco.

Stila makes some of my favorite products – major MAJOR lash mascara is one of the best I’ve tried. The set also includes lip glaze, stay all day waterproof liquid eye liner, sun bronzer powder shade 01 and a small kabuki brush. Fantastic!
At Costco you can also find bare minerals and other brands.
As you shop for gifts this season, why not get something for yourself? As L’Oreal (the company owns a TON of major brands) has said for years, “you’re worth it.”
